In support of Pride and our ongoing partnership, we’re donating $400,000 to The Trevor Project this year, regardless of sales. To date, we’ve raised over $5 million with our customers for The Trevor Project, the leading suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQIA+ young people.
Since 2019, when we set a goal to reduce water usage in denim production, we've saved over 190,300,000 gallons of water with more efficient dying and washing methods. Over the last couple of years, we've also sourced roughly 19,000,000 pounds of cotton from Better Cotton—the world's leading sustainability initiative for cotton farming. Purchasing our cotton products supports farmers who are taught to use water efficiently, care for soil health and natural habitats, reduce harmful chemicals and respect workers rights and wellbeing. Better Cotton is sourced via a chain of custody model called mass balance. This means that Better Cotton is not physically traceable to end products, however, Better Cotton farmers benefit from the demand for Better Cotton in equivalent volumes to those we source. We'll continue building on our promises with these and other initiatives, because it's our responsibility to prioritize the environment and make more sustainable choices.
